![]() ![]() ![]() So it doesn't happen every time, but it wasn't a unique incident either. Two savegames loaded without issue, one exhibited the same bug as described above. What should have happened: The game should have put me on the ground in the cobble crawl, or at least (if it really can't prevent me from falling through the map) it should have reset me to a position from where I would actually have been able to play on.Īdditional information: I'm playing with 144 FPS on fairly beefy hardware (RTX 4090, Ryzen 7 7700X, 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM), so this cannot be a case of "low framerates glitching collision detection".ĮDIT: I started a new game, saved at various location in the cobble crawl, and tried to load the savegames. I'm keeping it in case you want me to send the file. To keep track of the areas she had discovered, an Adventure player Mari Michaelis drew this map of Colossal Cave, the game’s fictional setting. The savegame is now unusable, subsequent attempts to load it ran into the same problem. The only way to proceed was to close the game via task manager, relaunch it, and start a new game (since this was my only savegame at this point). There was no way to recover, I could not even access the menu. What happened, though, is that the voiceover was cut short, and I was set back to a position from where I immediately fell through the map again, in an endless loop. This would have been funny if it had actually worked. The game noticed this and started playing a voiceover declaring this a "feature" and announcing to put me back to the start of the map. What is the bug: Upon loading the savegame, I immediately fell through the map. I tried to load the previously created savegame How to reproduce (probably won't work reliably though): Peter Pears: If you do end up implementing it - though I agree its not top priority, or even top-level priority - Im talking more about a map that completes. Reproducible: 100% for this savegame, otherwise unsure Severity: High - renders savegame unusable ![]()
